The Glitteriness that is Pixie Dust

Hello all! Finally back to posting :) Now this is right before my beautifully long nails were broken on a food storage container. Enjoy them while you can! They're sporting the awesomeness known as Zoya Pixie Dust in Dahlia!

This stuff is legit! Seriously! 2 coats were perfect coverage for my nails, along with no base or top coat! This charcoal black dried beautifully matte but with tons of glittery silver sparkle! Like seriously. As you have heard, these pics don't do it justice.

With no top coat, there was no tip wear either. I thought the texture would bug me too, but it was smoothish. Kinda reminded me of say...really really fine sand? Even finer? Not gritty at all! I was afraid of removal too, but it came off like regular non glittery polish! No crazy scrubbing! AHHH YES! I give it a 10/10 for glitter and a 9/10 for application. This stuff is legit pixie dust. Get yourself some now!

Water You Waiting For?

Afternoon glittery polish lovers! So a a week or so ago I used China Glaze Water You Waiting For from the Cirque du Soleil collection for a Windestine polish. I forgot to post this gorgeous polish on its own! IT'S PURE GLITTER!

This is a glitter polish in a clear base. Yum. Light purple, blue, and green dots/hexes. And it was full coverage in 2 coats! So pretty! Just really thick, so I'm not sure how many more times I'll have the patience to use it again. This was really pretty and sparkly though!

I give this a 9/10 for glitter and a 6/10 for application. Pretty and sparkly yes, thickness no. Perhaps some thinner will help? What other polishes from this collection do you like?

Single's Awareness Day/Valentine's Day Nails!

Happy Single's Awareness Day/Valenine's Day! <3 I hope it's gone well for all of you, whether you've gotten stuff from your sweetie or your nice friends! While I don't have someone to share the day with, I love being festive, so I had to do my nails!

I used 1 coat of China Glaze Cranberry Splash from the Holiday 2012 collection that I got at Sally's on clearance. It's a lovely shiny cranberry red! Then I used my Salon Express stamper and plates to put on the designs with Zoya Trixie. This came out so nice!

To give it some glitteriness, I used 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust for some holo sparkle! Then I used my Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops because it was so late and I didn't feel like waiting for top coat to dry. Overall, I love this mani, and I'll probably keep it on a few days! 7/10 for glitter, and a 7/10 for application. Have a great day everyone! And remember, who needs a boyfriend when you've got glittery polish? ;)

A Windestine Polish Extravaganza!

Evening glittery polish lovers! It's finally here! I was sent 4 lovely Windestine polishes from Freda to review. Imagine that! And they all have some glitter! GLITTER! <3 Some of them were ones I'd never wear, but loved, and I shall show you the polishes in order of my least to most favorite. And just because it's the least, doesn't mean I don't love the glitteriness! :D

This is 3 coats of Frozen Wilderness. This is one of the charity polishes. Money from this will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation! :) This is a crelly white base chock full of black and dark orange hexes along with some orange dot glitter. Nice! Not a fave color combo for my paleness, but I can see Halloween usage here!

Next is 2 coats of Wish Upon a Star over China Glaze Water You Waiting For, perfect undies! Charity polish! This has purple, blue, yellow, and holo hexes with some holo bar and moon glitter (yes!) all in a blue-green shimmery jelly base. My only complaint on this is that I could only get 1 moon out for each hand. Perhaps cause I had a mini?

A gray I like! OMG! Flower deco in 3 coats (will be available for restock Feb 20). This is a soft grey jelly base with blue, black, and purple hexes, holo square (<3) and bar glitter, and yellow flowers! LOVE! I've never had a polish with flower glitter! I was able to get 2 flowers out on each hand by holding the bottle upside down. So pretty! :D Good job Freda. A gray that I like!

Which is my fave? Confetti Deluxe (charity polish), the glitter bomb of course! This is 2 coats over China Glaze Watermelon Rind. It's got EVERYTHING! Holo hexes and stars. Different sizes/shapes of squares. Gold diamonds. Different colors of bars and hexes. OMG it's me in a bottle. And all my loves in a bottle! This one applied the best, and glitter was easy to get! LOOOOVE!

All in all, I say Windestine is a hit! I only had one little hiccup (poor crescent moons), and I def need a full of Confetti Deluxe. This girl knows how to make polish and make glitter lovers happy!

Watermelon Rind: Beautiful Yet Forgotten

Evening glittery polish lovers! So my wonderful roomie who really hates polish helped me pick out a China Glaze that was not like any in my collection back when Sally's let you get one free with Seche Vite. She made a great choice! Let me introduce you to Watermelon Rind :)

Oh that's lovely! It goes so well with my half Polish skin! This polish is not very opaque, but after 3 coats and some Seche Vite, it was completely stunning! It's just gorgeous! To me it looks like a bluish emerald. With tons of blue and green microshimmer! Just ooooooooo! I actually managed to wear this over 24 hours without glittering it. XD

Not bad for a free name brand polish eh? I've been very caught up in indies lately, but this one is gorgeous. With 3 coats I give it an 8/10 for application, but for it's shimmer I give it a 7/10! Now what did I glitter it with to give it a 10/10? Stay tuned!

Julep February Box with Hearts!

Hello all of my glittery fans! Finally have some down time! Again! I did my nails during the super bowl with the 3 Julep colors in my It Girl Box, and I made them Valentine's Day themed!

To start this mani off, I used 1.5 coats of Julep Rebel. This seems at first to be a very opaque silver scattered holo, but in some light, I can faintly see a linear holo. Reallly faintly. Still gorgeous though!

Now to make the hearts I used a striper brush and 2 coats of either Julep Joan or Marion. I did swatch Joan at one point, but the next morning I already had tip wear and it had eaten my top coat! My nails were all dusty and meh. So instead it became a heart!

Overall I liked my maven box. It even came with an eye lash curler! However, Joan will probably never see the light of day by itself. Ah well! This is still one great box!

When the Moon was a Star

Hey all! Remember Lynn's The Stars in Her Eyes? Well When the Moon was a Star is almost as awesome as that. Really. I got it in a swap and love it! I'm sad. I had to take it off for field work :( Here it is in all it's glory though!

Hello beautiful! This is 1 coat of Zoya Indigo, 1 coat of When the Moon was a Star, a coat of Gelous, and a coat of Seche Vite. OOOoooooo! That is pretty. There are holo moons, big/mini stars, and hexes along with blue hexes an some faint purple shimmer. Just wow. This was another glorious combo that made a night sky on my nails!

Sometimes I had to put the brush in again to get a star or moon, but it wasn't too bad at all. An application was great! I give this a 10/10 for glitter and a 8/10 for application. This is a new fave!
