Zoya Aurora

Evening glittery polish lovers! I've been slightly MIA with the second week of the semester and blogger not working, but I have a lovely Zoya for you! Remember how I love purple? And glitter? And holo? Well check out Zoya Aurora, cause it has all 3!

I used 2 coats of Aurora and one of Seche Vite. This is gorgeous. It's got scattered holo, a nice darker purple, and it's glittery. GLITTERY. I didn't need anything else on this, and I was gonna do some nail art! I feel that can wait though. It wasn't gritty after some top coat, and it looked marvelous. Very nice application :)

10/10 for glitter and 9/10 for application. This is awesome folks, and even more so cause my 15 year old brother got it for me cause he knew I was really wanting it :3

Ozotic 509: The Holographic Wonder!

Evening glittery polish lovers! Tonight after days of lots of hw, becoming secretary of a club, and more, I finally can post this awesome holographic shimmery sparkly awesome polish! Ozotic 509!

WOOOOOAH! That's just in artificial light! This is very sheer, so I used 3 coats, a base, and a top coat! This polish looks dusty silver when there is no bright light at all, but with bright light you get this linear holo affect. With flash however.....

Awwww yeah boy. That is some sparkly rainbowness! I love it! Now Picture Polish owns Ozotic, but they only make some of the 500 series now. This one is not listed, but as I did, you can get it in a swap!

I love this. I'm totally back into holos now, and I need to get more! I give this a 10/10 for glitter, shimmer, rainbow, and awesome! And a 9/10 for application. Gotta love it!

Glitter with Rachel

Hello there ladies! I have a nice little nail art post for you today that involves the lovely Julep Rachel and some hexagonal silver glitter I got. This is very easy, but of course, time consuming. Here's my Rachel mani glitzed up a bit!

I love this! It's very simple and you get glitter with some rainbowness! Now how I did this was put a layer of top coat on my nails, dip my cuticle stick into a bit of top coat, then place the glitter. This was super easy. Then another thick layer of top coat held them on until I got bored and picked them all off....yeah that's what happens when you're bored XD

This was a great way to take a shimmery brown polish and make it nice and glittery! :D I'll def use these glitters again. When I again have the patience to put them on! Have you tried putting glitter on your nails? If not, give it a whirl!

Julep Swatchathon

Hello everyone! As promised, did a Julep Swatchathon with 3 unused Juleps. And it's sad, but the glitters, YES THE GLITTERS were disappointing. And the shimmery brown won! Brown! Hold on tight for this! First we have Julep Harper.

I've heard that Sinful Colors Nail Junkie is a dupe, and I agree, but at least Nail Junkie isn't so thick! Ick this Julep was sooo thick. Nail Junkie (from my memory) was much thinner. This is 2 coats. While the glitter and sparkle is nice, the thickness prevented me from wanting to do another coat. I think I'll stick with Nail Junkie on this one.

Next is Julep Vivien, another disappointment. This is a VERY pale gold shimmer with gold hexes. 3 coats creates too much clump up with the hexes. Boo. Perhaps if I try this as a topper my opinion will change, but I didn't like this one on its own at all! I could only do 2 fingers. Oui this color.

Here's the lovely light in the darkness! Julep Rachel. I've had this for MONTHS. Finally swatched. Well worn. This was a lovely one coater I used for a mani. This is a medium shimmery brown with lots of lighter brown and golden undertones. And look at that golden shimmer! This is only the second brown in my collection I love. This may even beat China Glaze Harvest Moon!

Just look at it! It's lovely! I think I may even detect some faint pink shimmer too! Just woah. I love this one. I see some nail art from this! So the shimmer beats the glitters. Like woah. What is this crazy polish world coming to???

Layla Magneffect with a Bit of Sparkle

So you guys may or may not know my hate of magnetic polish. I got one from Claire's months ago and it was kinda ehhh. At the time I liked it, then realized the magnet design wasn't that strong.  You can see that here. Then I got Layla Magneffect in Purple Galaxy in my Nail Art Society Bag. With Swarvoski Crystals! And bam. I was really in love. I mean purple? This awesome magnetic design? YES PLEASE

Woah. Just woah! Look at that! So how this works is you do one thing coat as a base. Then one thick coat to use the magnet on. You need a lot or it won't work well, and you'll need to clean up your cuticles! I held the magnet over the polish with the line sideways for ten seconds and bam! Look at that! It was a dark purple and the magnet brought out light purple shimmery lines! I put a coat of Seche Vite on top put it dragged the design a smidge, so let your nails dry a bit first before top coat.

Now here's how to put on those crystals and make them stick tight! Apply a layer of top coat (I use Seche Vite), dip the tip of a cuticle stick into the top coat, pick up a crystal, and place it down with a light push. After they are all applied, apply another coat of Seche Vite. Wella! The end. So far they've lasted 48 hours through cleaning, hair washing, laundry, and more!  I give this a 7/10 for application and a 6/10 for glitter. Boom! :D

The Balm Therapy, For Your Cuticles!

One night Alex went on an adventure to historic Smithville in NJ. She found a cute little soap shop named L.E.H. Soap that smelled wonderful. She was searching for something for her poor cuticles when the nice lady in the shop pointed her to this. The Balm Therapy. The nice shop lady even gave Alex a free sample of Almond Crumb body butter (to be reviewed soon)! The Balm Therapy only cost $5, so onto the awesome review!

This stuff is alllll natural! Legit :) You can use it anywhere, but I have this specifically for my poor cuticles. To name some ingredients it's got olive oil, nettle, chickweed, cocoa butter, apricot oil, coconut oil, mango butter, and vitamin E. Goooooood stuff. And this is what it looks like. It's yellow with a sugary dough consistency (that's all I can think of lol).

A little REALLY goes a looooong way. I've had this since the beginning of December! To do all my cuticles after acetone exposure, I use this much, and it's equivalent to me dragging my nail across half the container.

Now my cuticles are usually realllly bad, but as you can see in this picture of me wearing Sweets to the Sweet by Lynnderella, my cuticles look awesome! I use this every time I'm done taking polish off now. It's a little oily at first (but it has soo many different oils in it!), but soaks in within 2-5 minutes and leaves my cuticles and fingers really soft. Love this stuff!

Love those shiny not red cuticles? Go to Smithville or http://lehsoap.com/ to get your own!

Lynnderella Sweets to the Sweet: A Candy Shop on Your Nails!

Hello glittery polish lovers! Welcome to another glittery installment of a Lynnderella polish! Last night I put on Sweets to the Sweet, and boy did I love it wayyyy more than Funny Money! This one is def a keeper. :) Here it is over OPI I Think In Pink!

To start this lovely delicate mani off, I used 3 coats of OPI I Think in Pink, part of the 2012 Breast Cancer Duo (which I only paid $5.95 for).  This was a light bubblegum pink crelly that was streaky and hard to photograph. 3 coats were my limit and luckily provided smooth coverage.  No matter how I tried, my camera couldn't pick up the right color. Here it looks more ballerina pink, but it's actually more bubblegum pink!

Now to Sweets to the Sweet. This polish. Man. While a little thick and having some dabbing required, it's gorgeous. There are multicolored hex, square, and bar glitters along with some delicate soft white small hexes and squares. All together, my nails screamed candy shop! It's just so delicate and pretty. But of course the name reminded me of Ophelia from Hamlet! I can only remember his mother saying "Sweets to the Sweet" at Ophelia's funeral (I think). Oui vey! Anywho, 9/10 for glitter and an 7/10 for application. Gorgeous!

Lynnderella Funny Money

Afternoon glittery polish lovers! I'm on new antibiotics and hopefully gonna beat this bronchitis. For now I have a lovely mani using Zoya Ivanka and Lynnderella Funny Money!

While not a Lynn that I will kill for, this is still very nice. And Ivanka made perfect undies for it! I used 2 coats of Ivanka, 2 coats of Funny Money, a coat of Gelous, and a coat of Seche Vite. Funny Money apparently has some Bergamot essential oil in it, which supposedly gives you prosperity, and while smelling this, I was definitely hoping for some prosperity!

Funny Money has so much glitter! There are multicolored hex, dot, square, and bar glitter. Like woah! There's obviously predominant greens and black, but there seems to be some gold dust sprinkled throughout. This polish makes me feel legit. Like I have tons of money or something. Too bad that's not true XD I got this off of copious way back when for cheap with credits. I give this an 8/10 for application (no dabbing required!) and a 9/10 for glitter. Not bad at all Lynn. :)

Let's Go Crazy with Deborah Lippmann!

Hello glittery polish lovers! After going to Atlanta for Passion 2013 and learning how there are 27 million people in slavery in the world right now, my heart was aching. And then so was my body. I have bronchitis, but that didn't stop me from trying to spread the word! If you'd like, check out the End It Movement to see what you can do to help those 27 million! Now on to the polish!

Here are 2 coats of Let's Go Crazy with a top coat of Seche Vite. It's a dark purple jelly base with tons, I mean tons, of multi colored hex glitters in it. I had tip wear after 4 days of being in Atlanta, which isn't too bad. Only con is that the mani looks like a jelly sandwich. The glitter sinks into the polish a bit. Still interesting! Def a 9/10 for glitteriness! Have a lovely night everyone :)
