Nyx: Glittery Blue Spun Sugar

Afternoon my glittery polish lovers! As you know I absolutely loved Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia, back when my nails were long and lovely. You can see that here. I had another Pixie Dust lying around, and now I give you the spun sugar awesomeness that is Nyx!

While I will not be keeping this lovely periwinkle because I do not like it with my skin tone, I was taken aback by its glitteriness. The color and silver glitter in this really made me think of spun sugar. Legit. And such loveliness from just 3 coats of polish! This polish was a bit thinner than Dahlia, but it had the same result. Lovely glitteriness, but with more of that spun sugar effect. 

As with Dahlia, I had the extremely fine sand texture on my fingers, that kinda reminded me of velvet. While not my color, it still gets a 9/10 for application and 10/10 for glitter! :D

A Starry Night

Evening glittery polish lovers! I have for you guys an impulse buy and a glittery polish that's been in my collection since the summer! I give you Picture Polish Starry Night with Black Cat Lacquer Discotraxx as a glittery topper!

This is pure glittery goodness! It all started off with Starry Night, a Picture Polish and Llarowe collaboration shade!  It's a black jelly with teeny tiny holo shards and holo dust! It really is a starry night! And the dry time/application were excellent! This is 3 coats and Seche Vite.

Next up was Discotraxx, a clear polish with silver holo glitters in various shapes. This one is a dead ringer for Lynnderella Shape Shifter! However, Shape Shifter has more shapes to it.  This is 1 dabbed/swiped coat. It's a bit thick, but so pretty!

This is just so glittery and rainbowy and awesome! Def on my fave polishes list. 10/10 for glitter and 8/10 for application for the overall mani! You def can't miss out on these glittery beauties!

A 'Splash' of Blue!

Hi glittery polish lovers! It's been a while hasn't it? Darn 20 credit semester! Anywho, as you may have heard, I won Picture Polish Splash from Llarowe. Woo! I tried my hand at a reverse gradient. Soooo boom!

For the base I used 2 coats of OPI Teal the Cows come home. It was nice shimmery sky blue! Then I did the gradient using Picture Polish Splash. This is slightly dark blue hex and dot glitter in a clear base. My gradient is ridiculous in your face cause I wanted it to semi blend with my base, but I'm happy with my first attempt :)

Lovely with flash! You can see more of the dark blue glitters in Splash. I'm definitely using a denser glitter next time around for a gradient, but I like it! 8/10 for glitter and a 6/10 for application. I spent way too much time on these lol

Shamrocks and Gold

Happy Early St. Patrick's Day! I love dressing up for holidays, so I had to do my nails too! I used 3 Zoyas and a dotting tool to make this little mani! Enjoy the shimmer and gold!

I used 2 coats of Ivanka for the green base and shamrock, 2 coats of Ziv for my accent, and a swiped/dabbed coat of Gilty. For the shamrock I used my dotting tool to make hearts for the leaves and a stem. Then I sealed it all in with Seche Vite after wrapping my tips in polish!

I love this. It's simple and gets the point across. I even have real 18k gold on tips, straight out of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! ;) Zoya really gets it done! Especially on my nubs lol

Belgian Chocolate: A Glitter Gal Beyond Your Imagination

Evening glittery polish lovers! I know it's been a while. The week before spring break is hectic, and with field work during my break, it's even more hectic! Woooah! I'm reminded of the holo goodness of Ozotic 509! This is 2 coats of Belgian Chocolate with no top coat. In the shade this is a dark brown with silver glitter from the holo dust. Then in the light of my lamp or flash, you get this gorgeous chocolately cherry color with tons of linear rainbow holo goodness! The first coat was light and the second coat made it just dark enough!

This is what it looks like just under my lamp! Ahhhh! Such a strong holo! Gorgeous color I don't have, nice formula (just a tad thick, but some holos are), and all this from Beautometry! They were great, reached out to me, sent out the polish March 6, and I got it at my mail room March 11. Wonderful!

Kelara Lacquers: Just Puzzling...

Evening glittery polish lovers! Today I have some easy nail art brought to you with Kelara Lacquers in Mars and Earth. These polishes are lovely. Each with scattered holo dust, 2 coats for opacity, and pretty good formula, just a tad on the slightly thicker side. This was my first time using Tara and Kellen's polishes, and boy do I love them!

To do this, you simply need scotch tape and a dotting tool, whether homemade or bought! I painted my  nails with 2 coats of Earth, a sky blue scattered holo. After it dried for 15 minutes, I put scotch tape on half of my nail, painted a thick coat of Mars (a brick red scattered holo) onto the exposed half, then ripping off the tape quickly. I then used my biggest dotting tool to make the red dots. With some Seche Vite to seal it in, I was finished with my puzzle nails!

These polishes are gorgeous! And this mani wasn't too hard either :) 7/10 for application and 5/10 for glitter. I love Kelara Lacquers, and I'll definitely be getting more!

The Glitteriness that is Pixie Dust

Hello all! Finally back to posting :) Now this is right before my beautifully long nails were broken on a food storage container. Enjoy them while you can! They're sporting the awesomeness known as Zoya Pixie Dust in Dahlia!

This stuff is legit! Seriously! 2 coats were perfect coverage for my nails, along with no base or top coat! This charcoal black dried beautifully matte but with tons of glittery silver sparkle! Like seriously. As you have heard, these pics don't do it justice. 

With no top coat, there was no tip wear either. I thought the texture would bug me too, but it was smoothish. Kinda reminded me of say...really really fine sand? Even finer? Not gritty at all! I was afraid of removal too, but it came off like regular non glittery polish! No crazy scrubbing! AHHH YES! I give it a 10/10 for glitter and a 9/10 for application. This stuff is legit pixie dust.
